Specter is free because participation is the cost.
Specter is not a paid product. It is an active research system measuring how linkable pseudonymous accounts are under LLM-based deanonymization, following Lermen et al. (2026). Admitted participants get the full pipeline at no cost; in return, their audits and extracted features (in aggregated, de-identified form) contribute to the study.
No payment
No credit card, no subscription, no upsell. Participation is the cost.
Informed consent
Every participant signs study consent before activating an account. You receive an invite code only after accepted.
Withdraw any time
Email privacy@loadstar.lab and your data is removed from the study corpus.
FAQ
- Is there a commercial version?
- Not yet. Specter is a research project under Loadstar Lab / Polymath. Commercial plans may follow once the study concludes.
- Who is eligible?
- Anyone auditing their own public accounts who consents to study participation. We admit in small cohorts as capacity allows.
- What data is collected?
- Only what is publicly available on the handles you submit: posts, bios, and metadata. Raw text is discarded after the pipeline completes; only extracted features and de-identified metrics are retained for the study.
- Can I withdraw from the study?
